Sausage & Goat Cheese Lasagna

A classic lasagna with a twist: spicy Italian sausage, creamy harvest sauce, and tangy goat cheese give this cozy favorite a little something extra.

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.

  2. Prepare the lasagna noodles according to package directions, if needed.

  3. Cook the sausage in a large skillet over medium heat, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.

  4. Add the pasta sauce and stir until warmed through.

  5. Layer the bottom of the an baking pan with one-third of the meat sauce.

  6. Sprinkle with one-third of the mozzarella and Parmesan.

  7. Add a layer of lasagna sheets.

  8. Repeat the layers once more, ending with cheese.

  9. There will be 2 layers of lasagna sheets total. You can do 3 if you have enough.

  10. Top with crumbled goat cheese.

  11. Bake uncovered for 40 minutes, until hot and set.

  12. Broil for 2 minutes, until the cheese is bubbling and lightly browned. Watch closely to prevent burning.

  13. Allow the lasagna to cool for 30 minutes before slicing and serving.
